THE HOUSE RULES
The rules for using Radclub: running a club, chipping in, and playing on the club's worlds. Plain words where we can, and the important bits up front.
Last updated: [DATE]
Who we are
Radclub (radclub.gg) is run by SYNA1, CVR 36680113, [ADDRESS], Denmark. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean that company.
These terms apply whenever you use radclub.gg: when you set up a club, sign in, join a club, chip in, or play on a club's world. If you don't agree with them, please don't use Radclub.
Your account
You sign in with Discord or with a one-time link we email you. There are no passwords. You can start setting up a club before you have an account; the setup is saved in your browser until you add an email or Discord.
Keep your email inbox and your Discord account safe: anyone who can get into them can sign in as you. Tell us at support@radclub.gg if you think someone else has used your account.
You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] to use Radclub, or have a parent's or guardian's permission. One account per person.
Clubs and who runs them
A club is a group of friends that shares one or more game worlds and one fund. The person who starts a club is its owner. The owner can make members admins.
Owners and admins decide who gets in, which games, mods and plugins the club runs, and the world settings. Owners are responsible for their club: who they invite, what happens on the club's worlds, and following the game's rules (see "Games and their own rules").
- Clubs are invite-only. Invite links work for 7 days, and owners and admins can reset them at any time.
- Owners and admins can remove a member. Leaving a club, or being removed, stops your monthly chip-ins to that club.
- Only the owner can change an admin's role.
The fund and chipping in
Every club has one fund: a shared pot that pays for the club's worlds. Members fill it with one-off or monthly chip-ins. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
Your money goes into your club's fund, not to the owner or any other member. We use the fund to pay for the club's server, month by month, at the plan price shown when the club picked its box. Prices include VAT. The price per member is only a guide: it's one shared pot, not one charge per person.
Everyone in the club can see the fund log: who chipped in, how much, and what it paid for.
- Monthly chip-ins can be stopped at any time from the club's Fund page. Stopping one ends future payments; it doesn't refund past ones.
- If an owner pays the first month alone to start straight away ("Play now"), the extra they paid is credited back against their own share of the next months, as shown at checkout.
- Money in a fund is for the club's servers. It isn't paid out in cash and can't be moved to another club. [DECIDE: what happens to a balance left when a club closes.]
Refunds
Chip-ins go straight into the club's fund and are spent on its server, so they're generally not refundable. We'll refund where the law requires it, and we may refund through Stripe when something has clearly gone wrong, such as a payment made twice by mistake. Ask at support@radclub.gg.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. [LAWYER: confirm how the right of withdrawal applies to chip-ins that start paying for a server straight away, and the wording needed at checkout.]
When the fund runs dry
If the fund can't cover the next month, the club's worlds go to sleep. They are not deleted for running out of money. As soon as the fund covers a month again, anyone in the club can wake them.
Worlds on the sleep plan also nap on their own after about 15 minutes with nobody online, and wake when someone starts them.
Worlds, backups and your stuff
Your club's builds, saves and settings belong to your club. We don't claim any ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to store them and run them for you.
We and our game-server partner take care to keep worlds safe, and backups are available on the World page. But no system is perfect: if a world matters a lot to you, keep your own copy too.
- A world is deleted only when its club asks for that, or when we close a club under "Ending things". Running out of money never deletes it.
- A guest setup that never got an email or Discord and has no world, no money and no monthly chip-in is removed after 30 days.
Games and their own rules
Radclub hosts servers for games made by other companies. Every player needs their own legitimate copy of the game, and the game's own rules apply on top of these terms.
Chip-ins pay for hosting, never for in-game items, ranks or advantages. Don't sell those on a club server.
- Minecraft: the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement and Usage Guidelines (minecraft.net/eula and minecraft.net/usage-guidelines).
- Valheim: Iron Gate's and the publisher's terms for the game and its dedicated server.
- Mods and plugins from Modrinth come with their own licences, set by their authors.
Fair play
Use Radclub to play games with your friends. Please don't:
- put anything illegal on a club's world or in its name, or use Radclub to harass, threaten or exploit anyone
- use a server for anything other than the game: no crypto mining, file hosting, proxies or attacks on other systems
- try to get into clubs, accounts or servers that aren't yours, or test our security without asking us first
- overload or disrupt Radclub, our partners or other clubs, or get around the limits we set
- send invites or Radbot pings as spam, or break Discord's rules through Radbot
Discord and Radbot
If you sign in with Discord or connect your club's Discord server, Discord's own terms apply to that part. When a club connects a server, Radbot creates a club role, gives it to members who linked Discord, and posts "Who's in?" pings when a world wakes. An owner or admin can disconnect Radbot at any time.
Keeping things running
We work hard to keep Radclub and the club worlds up, but we can't promise they'll always be available. Game servers run on our partner's machines; maintenance, outages and game updates can take a world offline for a while. We'll tell clubs ahead of planned work where we can.
Radclub will change as we build it. We may add, change or remove features. We won't take away something a club has already paid for without offering a fair way out.
Ending things
You can stop using Radclub at any time, and ask us to delete your account at support@radclub.gg.
We may suspend or close an account or a club that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Unless it's urgent or unlawful to do so, we'll warn you first and give the club a chance to save its worlds. [DECIDE: what happens to the club's fund balance in that case.]
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited (for example for gross negligence or intent).
Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, for indirect losses, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as the games themselves, Discord, Stripe or internet outages. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid into Radclub in the 12 months before the problem. [LAWYER: confirm the cap.]
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site at least [30] days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using Radclub and stop your monthly chip-ins before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes go to the Danish courts. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and can also go to your local courts.
Talk to us first at support@radclub.gg; most things can be fixed quickly. Consumers in Denmark can also complain to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution (Center for Klageløsning). [LAWYER: confirm.]
